In this video I talk to you about something that’s very dear to my heart and very central to how I see the world.
That is the concept of living from your heart, not from your mind or your brain, but focusing on working with your mind and your brain through your heart. That’s how I think one can have a happy life and be in the now.
So, I think about it first by finding my feet and being grounded, which I’ve talked about in other places. You know, if you’re not grounded into the earth and you’re not here in your body, it’s hard to really be present.
Then I think about taking some breaths and just being present, feeling what’s around me, feeling my body, feeling my senses, and understanding that I’m connected to all of this and I’m larger than this mind body called Reva. I’m something greater than that, that contains the mind body called Reva.
When I am in my daily life, I strive to come from the heart, to be open to what’s here, open to my connection, and open my heart, literally.
When I can tell I’m in my mind is when I’m being anxious, I’m worrying, I’m doing this, I’m doing that and I’m in my mind and I’m running around and getting things done. But I’m not grounded, I’m not present, I’m in my mind and then I make mistakes. I don’t see people. I don’t see things. And I really am not the person I want to be, that I really am, because I’m just a brain that’s getting a lot done and it’s really satisfying. But, in the end, it’s not enough – checking off a list of things to do.
In the end, I want to live in this incredible place for the short time that we’re here, from the heart. from the interconnectedness.
I use the Sedona Method because it’s the fastest way I know to get to that interconnectedness and get through the mind. And I’m not saying don’t use your mind, but the mind should be the servant of the heart, not the other way around. Thank you.
