Clearing and Building Relationship - Part One

Clearing and Building Relationship – Part One

I believe that part of the underlying cause of climate change is our lack of relationship with the Earth on the energetical levels.

In the old days, every culture recognized that there were spirits of different kinds inhabiting the land and place. I think of these “spirits” as other energetic levels of intelligence that exist all over the Earth. Being energetic, they are very subtle. We are generally not aware of them because we are usually bulldozing our way through, either literally or at-least mentally. Part of healing the earth and ourselves is rebuilding our relationship on all levels. One place to begin is to clean up where you are.

When someone moves into a new home or buys a piece of land, it is important to clear the space of any past energies and to begin to feed it energetically.

Clearing means removing any energies left by earlier people and to make peace with the energy beings that are simultaneously sharing that space on other levels. Even if you have lived somewhere for a long time, you can still do a clearing. I also do this in many places where I feel the land calling for help.

You can do this anytime, though using the earth calendar and the moon cycles can increase the connection.

First stand quietly in whatever you deem to be the center of the land or living space. This can be geographic center or what feels like the emotional/spiritual center. Ground and with your intention create a space that encompasses the whole place. You can set the space using the ceremony you developed for the cross-quarter days (see April blog). Feel into the place and notice what you are aware of and then ask the place for permission to clear it of any negativity created by humans.

I then ask Archangel Michael (or whomever you are using for protection – see April blog) and the Divas or chief spirits of the place to help me.

All traditions have a hierarchy of spirits. Find out what that was for your place and work within those traditions. I think about what I noticed at first and then feel for any old negative human emotions or history. Trust yourself and your first impressions. To Be Continued…..
