There is SO much information out there about health, spirituality, and personal development that I find it all overwhelming and therefore unhelpful.
I want to help you cut through all of that by you focusing on the fact that the answers are within if you are willing to listen and learn. If you have or develop an intuitive sense of what is going on, then you can narrow your focus to whatever outside information that you may actually need. The catch here is that you have to be willing to create space in your life so you can hear. This can be very difficult in our noisy, modern world.
Your physical and emotional bodies are talking to you all the time, but you usually blow them off.
You know what I mean: when your shoulder aches and you ignore it or you meet someone that you don’t really like and you engage with them anyways… I don’t mean when you head is talking to you and finding something wrong what what you are doing or saying. I mean a different kind of communication when you have a physical sensation, an emotional reaction, a “gut” sense, or sometimes even words. You know.
So sometime today, allow yourself to be open to your own internal response.
Rather than creating a story with your mind about it or changing your focus, allow your attention to connect to go into the sensation or emotion and just notice. You can use your breath to focus. Hang out there for a long as it is easy. Yes, this is all that mindful stuff. You don’t need to begin to meditate or take on a formal mindful practice. Just notice and see what you learn. Then be aware of when you are drawn to notice again.

- What are you drawn to do with the information?
You are building a muscle. The more you are willing to focus on the little nudges, the easier to hear the big ones. Neuro-linguistic Programming talks about our being auditory, visual, or kinesthetic on our conscious, subconscious, and unconscious levels. How do you receive information from the bodies through words, music, images, or feelings? Knowing this will help you tell when you are having an ego or mind response and when other aspects of self are talking to you.
