Production Agriculture

Production Agriculture

The following can be an outline for anyone working with a small piece of land, a garden, or a few livestock. You don’t have to be in production or working a large tract to use these concepts.

When I work with someone and their production land, we start by clarifying the goals and objectives that the people living and working on the land have for their lives. If the farmer/rancher/logger (f/r/l) isn’t already using it, I usually suggest Holistic Management as I have found their tenets and process to be excellent (https://holisticmanagement.org/). This process brings to light and clarifies any blocks in the goals and relationships of the people involved with the land. If the people are open to it, I also suggest doing any clearing or support that they may individually need.

We then do a clearing on the land such as I outlined in the April blog.

This can be done from afar using map dowsing, but I prefer when possible to be on the land with the people involved. The general clearing is followed by a clearing relating to the agricultural goals for specific locations. We look at the history of how the land has been used and talk about any major changes in use that the f/r/l may be planning.

We are initiating a conversation with all the energy beings and the spirits of the farm/ranch to begin a conscious relationship of working together to create health and abundance. I start large and move small by checking in first with the spirits/energy beings of the land, of the rock formations,of the water bodies, of the trees and plants, and of the animals and insects. Farmers and ranchers know the incredible complexity and community in a healthy soil that makes for happy and healthy plants and animals. Using dowsing, we then have a conversation with the soil based on a basic scientific principles of good soil management and its component energetic aspects.

An example of working with the land was given to me by one of my teachers, Patrick MacManaway.

He tells of a farm on the east coast island of Mersey, Essex, England that had been growing wheat in rotation for over a thousand years but was not doing well of late. Patrick and the farmer talked to the spirits of the land and realized that the land and it’s beings did not recognize the newly genetically engineered varieties of wheat. After that conversation, the production of wheat returned to its former healthy level.

My goal is for the farmer/rancher/logger is to bring balance and deepen their energetic relationship with all the sentient beings on the land from the energy beings to the plants, animals, and humans. This is even more important now given the erratic weather patterns we are all experiencing. The joy of having a true partnership with the land is beyond description and is the best healing there is for our relationship with the Earth.
