The Sedona Method®
When I began using The Sedona Method® of releasing in 2005, for the first time ever, I had the experience of not being afraid of myself - my mind or my body.
This method was a simple tool that I could use by myself at any time to let go of any emotion or thought that was overwhelming me. WOW!
Ever since, that first experience of freedom from existential fear has allowed me to feel confident of myself, to make “hard“ decisions, and to be joyful in my life. Thanks to these simple questions and the understanding behind them.
What is the Sedona Method®?
The Sedona Method® is one of the best ways to release limiting emotions, feelings, and thoughts in the moment. Through a simple series of questions and techniques, you can rediscover the natural ability that we all have to ‘just let things go’.
It’s an ability we’re all born with - to just let our thoughts, feelings, and emotions go. If you look back on your life, you can probably remember times when an emotion seemed to disappear. Young children do it all the time. You can learn to effortlessly let go of all those unconscious thoughts and feelings that no longer serve you so you can feel confident in any situation.
- Releasing is not suppressing or avoiding emotions.
- It’s not hypnosis or meditation.
The Sedona Method® is a conscious self-inquiry process that helps you dissolve your emotional issues without drama or dependency on anyone else.
“ Release your wanting and allow yourself to have.” Hale Dwoskin
The Sedona Method® releasing processes and techniques have been used by hundreds of thousands of people all over the world to let go of unwanted habits; fears, phobias and anxieties; anger and depression; grief, unhealthy relationships, and communication issues; financial and success obstacles; emotional causes to health issues, and much more.
Moving beyond whatever is keeping you down or holding you back allows your energy to go toward creating the life you want, instead of resisting the life you don’t want. You can have the wealth and success, optimal health, and harmonious relationships that are yours.
There are five ways of releasing with The Sedona Method®.
- choosing to let go of the unwanted feeling.
- welcoming the feeling or allowing the emotion just to be.
- diving into the very core of the emotion.
- dissolving the opposing polarities we all carry such as good-bad, ugly-beautiful, easy-hard, etc.
- seeing through the feeling to the effortless Awareness/Beingness that is right behind it.
Why work with a Sedona Method® Coach?
You can release solely on your own, but most people either find a releasing partner or a coach.
As your coach, I bring 15 plus years of daily personal releasing and 12 years plus of teaching classes and helping clients as a Certified Sedona Method® Coach.
My clients have included those new to the Method as well as other certified coaches.
Reva is one of the best coaches I know. As a Certified Sedona Method® coach, she has both an excellent grasp of its technical aspects and an intuitive feel for what the client needs at that moment. But even more important and effective is her kind and loving presence, as well as her incredible ability to guide a person through their mind traps with ease and elegance.
I have been using The Sedona Method® with my own clients since 2005. I have used Reva’s skills for my own daily releasing off and on for years. I highly recommend her.

Working with Reva is not like working with a therapist or a typical coach. In my experience, Reva gets down to the bones of you. Quickly.
I’m a psychotherapist working in Vermont. Because of the pandemic and some personal stressors, I was feeling burnt out and disconnected from the things that usually brought me a deep feeling of purpose and meaning. I made an appointment with Reva at a particularly strong moment of crisis.
Within one session and Reva’s skillful use of the Sedona Method Coaching, I felt lighter and hopeful. Since then I have had a number of sessions with Reva, including a day where she came to my office and helped me see and feel the office through my clients.
Reva connects me to a deeper sense of spirituality that I felt I had lost over the previous years. After six months and 6-7 sessions, I am more grounded and authentic — both in my work with clients and in my personal life with family and friends. Things I had felt some level of fear around have dissolved. As I dissolve fears, I feel an upwelling of freedom, a reconnection to my work and a deeper sense of connection to the people I am close with. This has been a profound shift for me. If you are contemplating investing in yourself by working with Reva, I say do it!

I attended three Sedona Method Releasing Classes led by Reva Seybolt. Although I was not at all familiar with this method, Reva connected me with pertinent materials prior to our first class, which allowed me to fully participate comfortably in her classes.
As described, the method appears deceptively simple. I was happily surprised by how deeply transformative the practice led by Reva was.
An added benefit of practicing this method in a class setting was when a classmate brought up an issue for them which I did not realize was also an issue for me. I was able to release and transform my own feelings while Reva led my classmate to her completion.
I also enjoyed the experience and opportunity to sit in a class with like-spirited individuals. It was a welcome respite from the too-often frenetic energy found in our current societal expressions.
Reva’s ability to connect to and follow our energy as it releases is an invaluable asset in our personal process. It allows her to guide us with gentle questions and suggestions leading us to our next level of release.
I felt great growth practicing this method with Reva in releasing beliefs with which I was struggling.
What excites me most and draws my desire to deepen this practice is how this method provides me with opportunities to explore issues/beliefs/limitations I was unaware I held. I feel that is the greatest gift I received from these classes. I am excited about what I will learn about myself as I continue this work with Reva.
Thanks so much for doing this work Reva, it was truly a gift and a blessing.

I connected with Reva because I was looking for a coach to support me in integrating my spiritual world with my everyday life. Her support has been immensely powerful as it has helped me to be more grounded and comfortable in Being More of Who I am.
I now have a much greater sense of personal safety and freedom. As I continue working with Reva and explore the Truth of Who I Am, I notice a joy, ease, grace and comfort in being me. I’ve let go of fears, insecurities, old stories, limiting beliefs and resistance to life.
In my own Healing and Life Coaching business, the work with Reva has also been incredibly valuable to me. When I know more of Who I Am, I can bring so much more of myself to my business and my clients. Reva has a passionate holistic approach which emphasizes self-care and going beyond “the stories” to the Truth of Who You Are. She also utilizes an array of holistic modalities as needed to support the Sedona Method. All of which help me to see and utilize my talents and abilities to be so much more effective with my clients.
I’m beyond grateful and blessed to have Reva in my life. I’ve benefited greatly and would recommend Reva as a coach to anyone who wants to move beyond an apparent sense of stuckness or explore the inner landscape of one’s consciousness.

I wanted to work with a Sedona Method facilitator so that I could grow in my ability to let go of troubling emotions and thoughts, and live in the way that I knew I could live. I was intuitively drawn to Reva and happy to learn that one of her main messages (in a nutshell) is that “Life happens. Suffering is optional!”
Working with Reva is wonderful. She is patient and kind, and I feel 100% safe with her. As a result of practicing the Sedona Method and my sessions with Reva, my life is so much better! I have experienced tremendous relief and serenity in areas such as better sleep after years of battling insomnia, much less worry over my adult children, better ways to navigate my relationship with my chronically anxious 81-year-old mother, and a much improved experience on the golf course (regardless of the score!).
What can I say, Reva’s support, expertise, and help have been invaluable!!! Thank you Reva!

With each successive group releasing session with Reva, I felt the weight of years lifting off my shoulders.
In the group setting, I was able to experience my own release when other members of the group were guided through issues that they articulated—in fact, I was often unaware that I was carrying a topic around until one of my group members named it, we released on it, and I realized that I was now free.
I see the incredible value of Sedona Method guidance and release methods and plan to continue seeing Reva in the months and years to come, as I continue to create my best self.

Thank you so much for a wonderful month with a great group! I feel like I have received a simple but powerful gift.

Reva’s questions and comments help dispel the clamorous thoughts and personal myths that block my ability to Be in the present. They help me confront my challenges of living fully at age 86. Surprising insights and changes occur with her help, some taking time to arrive, others happening quickly. After spending the hour with her and the other participants in the session I feel more focused, lighthearted, and freer to be myself. This work takes practice. I’ve just begun and know it does me good!

If we are not our thoughts, feelings, or emotions, then what are we?
For those of you that want to go deeper, we can move into Nondualism. Simply put, Nondualism is the understanding that we are more than the body-mind and that separateness is an illusion. The Universe is all one and there is only one here and now. Living in Nondualism is also referred to as enlightenment.
What is amazing about The Sedona Method® is that it lets you experience and explore Oneness/ Awareness/ Beingness/ God from the very beginning of your releasing if you chose to do so. The method questions can be tailored to the relative or the absolute realities as needed. The links below give an idea of my explorations into Nonduality.

Vajrayana, Tibetan, and Bon Buddhism - There are many teachers and schools. I had the gift of meeting His Holiness Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche in Nepal in 1985 so I am attracted to his students who include:
